Since June when Lutheran Social Services, another nonprofit that the area’s homeless population relied on, harbor safe house stopped providing meals, showers and laundry services, Harbor House has faced an increased demand. While low-income and unhoused people in Thousand Oaks are facing growing challenges, Harbor House remains committed to preventing its neighbors from falling through the cracks—but it’s not something the organization can do on its own.
